Every year thousands of people come to Norfolk to live and work, to visit family and friends, or as refugees and asylum seekers.  We understand that for some people it can be a very challenging experience, particularly if they have never been to the UK before.  Here in Norfolk we believe very much in building safer, stronger communities where all people have access to services, and are protected by the law.  We want all newcomers to feel as much a part of the local community as people who have lived here their whole lives

This website aims to give you information which should make your stay in Norfolk a little bit easier. Thanks to the fantastic support of our partner agencies’ including the Criminal Justice Board this site is developing into a one stop guide to living and working here, covering health care, education, employment, and the law.  We have also asked some of our friends to tell you a little bit about their experience of moving into Norfolk.

We see this website as a living document - it is by no means complete yet, so be sure to come back again to check on our progress.  If there is something you want to tell us about the site please go to our feedback pages and get in touch. Finally, don't forget to keep an eye on our News pages for events and campaigns running in your area.

With best wishes, The ‘Welcome to Norfolk’ team
